MARQUETTE, Mich (WZMQ) – This month’s 2nd Thursday Creative Series hosted by the U.P. Children museum is “School’s out”.
This month’s event had crafts and activities, free frozen custard, and of course, live music. Organizers shared how live music is their favorite aspect. Watching the children interact and dance to the music and with the artist can impact the kids.
“Live music — we like being able to move and dance to it, touching it, going up close, cause these are special people,” said Jim Edwards, U.P. Children’s Museum education coordinator.
The museum thanks Culver’s and Kohl’s for donating and volunteering for today’s event. The next event will be beach party themed on July 11. For more information or future events go to the U.P. Children’s Museum website.
