ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Iron Range Roll bike race is set for June 1 in Ishpeming with over 150 bikers ready to ride for a good cause.
This year’s race will be a shortened from from past years due to permits. The family-friendly course will now be 12 miles long and ends in Marquette Township near Barrel + Beam.
“With the changes that we made to this year’s race given some of the permits and those little hiccups, I guess, we have over 150 people registered. We’re just lucky to have super strong support from the community,” said Kaylee Birmann, race board member.
The proceeds from the race will go to the Marquette YMCA to benefit youth programs.
Registration is set to close Friday, May 31.
