GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Residents spent the day picking up the pieces after a severe storm knocked down trees and even uprooted pieces of sidewalk in Gladstone late Tuesday night.
Gladstone resident Samantha Anderson told WZMQ a loud noise woke her up, and she discovered that the wind had blown her hot tub cover about 100 yards away. She also said her neighbor’s trampoline was blown over their fence and landed against a utility pole across the street. Anderson also said a number of large trees at the Kids Kingdom playground were knocked down, and the Native American statues there were damaged from the storm.
As of 3:01 p.m., PowerOutage.us showed over 800 residents across Delta County were still without power. The Alger-Delta Cooperative Electric Association posted on its Facebook Wednesday morning that most outages were expected to be restored by the end of the day. To report an outage with Alger-Delta Co-op, call 800-562-0950.
