IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – On May 3rd at around 4:05 PM, the Michigan State Police, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department and Iron Mountain Police Department were called to a crash, involving a passenger car and motorcycle.
The crash took place on US-2 in Quinnesec near Lake Antoine Rd. The passenger car, driven by a 50-year-old woman from Iron Mountain, attempted to make a left turn from the Krist Gas Station exit onto Hwy US-2. The car crossed the path of the motorcycle driven by a 53-year-old man from Niagara causing the motorcycle to cash into the rear of the car.
The motorcycle also carried a 16-year-old female from Norway and both occupants were ejected on impact.
All three people involved in the crash were transported to Marshfield Hospital. The occupants of the motorcycle had life-threatening injuries and were air-lifted from Marshfield and taken to another hospital. All three are recovering from injuries related to the crash.
