GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Delta County rescue teams located a missing 86-year-old male thanks to the help of one department’s drone.
Around 10:00 p.m. on April 25, Gladstone Public Safety Officer Leif Sjoquist assisted the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and Delta County Search and Rescue in finding the missing man.
According to a Facebook post by Gladstone Public Safety, Sjoquist deployed the department’s drone, also known as “The Bird.” After an hour of flying a grid search, Sjoquist was able to locate the 86-year-old and direct units to his location.
