LAURIUM, Mich. – After a decade of steadfast commitment and transformative leadership, Ed Jenich bids farewell to his role as the Executive Director of The Keweenaw Health Foundation.

As Jenich steps away from his position as Executive Director, the transition unveils a silver lining. Jenich’s journey doesn’t end here; instead, he assumes the role as Vice President on the board of directors, a position he previously held before taking on the Executive Director role in 2014. This shift ensures the continuity of his invaluable guidance and expertise within the organization.
Jenich’s journey with The Keweenaw Health Foundation has been characterized by unwavering dedication to advancing healthcare accessibility and quality in the region. Effective January 1, 2024, the reins of leadership have been passed down to a familiar face — Jenn Jenich-Laplander, Ed Jenich’s daughter. With a legacy of service ingrained in her DNA and a deep-rooted connection to the community and the organization’s mission, Jenich-Laplander is poised to lead The Keweenaw Health Foundation into its next phase of growth and impact.
Jenich-Laplander brings with her a fresh perspective to the role of Executive Director. Her passion for healthcare advocacy and community engagement is evident, making her a natural fit to carry forward her father’s legacy.
