DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – Christiana Reynolds of Delta County has declared her candidacy for Michigan’s 108th District in the Upper Peninsula.
A post on Reynolds’ campaign Facebook page says, “With a deep-rooted passion for education, childcare, housing, and economic development, Reynolds brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the forefront of her campaign. Currently serving as a high school educator specializing in history and government, Reynolds intimately understands the challenges facing both students and families in the district.”
“I am honored to announce my candidacy for Michigan’s 108th District,” said Reynolds. “I believe that every individual deserves access to quality education, affordable childcare, safe housing, and opportunities for economic growth. My platform is founded on these principles, and I am dedicated to working tirelessly to address the pressing needs of our community.”
Reynolds says her platform prioritizes the following:
1. Education: Ensuring equitable access to quality education for all students, supporting teachers, and investing in educational resources. Addressing the unique needs for rural schools.
2. Childcare: Advocating for affordable and accessible childcare options to support working families.
3. Housing: Addressing housing affordability and homelessness through innovative solutions and community partnerships.
4. Economic Development: Promoting sustainable economic growth, job creation, and supporting local businesses to strengthen the district’s economy.
As a candidate, Reynolds says she “pledges to listen to the concerns of residents and work collaboratively to enact positive change that benefits all constituents.”
