MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Saturday, the Superiorland Ski Club held its annual bike and kayak swap.
At the Marquette Lakeview Arena, community members came to either drop off or search through the collection of goods. This fundraiser for Superiorland Ski Club is a chance for the community to recycle outdoor items.
This has been a long-standing tradition that happens twice a year — once in the fall for ski season and then in the spring for bikes and kayaks. Even though this is a fundraiser, this event is much more for the community to unite and share their love for the outdoors.
“As a ski club, we love to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors, so today is another testament to how much this community loves to be outside,” shared Jeni Kilpela the President of Superiorland Ski Club.
If you would like to participate in next year’s swap either in fall or winter, go to Superiorland Ski Club website.
