WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Jack Bergman (R- MI) wants to make sure businesses that have been negatively impacted by our warmer winter get access to recovery funds.
The UP endured a couple of unusually warmer weather these past couple of months. The lack of winter weather impacted businesses that rely on the snow and the tourism it brings. The Michigan Congressman said his office will be hosting seminars or town halls within the next month or so to help people apply for federal funding from the Small Business Administration to help them out.
“Somethings you can’t control but by golly what we can do here in Washington DC is help people who have been negatively affected by a really unique winter,” said Rep. Bergman.
Bergman has not officially planned the days for those seminars yet but encourages people to keep an eye out for an announcement in the coming weeks.
