ISHPMEING, Mich, (WZMQ) – The women of Apiary Life Studio in Ishpeming held a commemorative ribbon cutting today to celebrate how far they have come in their first year.
The ribbon cutting was at the end of the first day of Apiary’s three-day long “Empower” women’s conference.
Apiary Life’s owner Amy Turner said today’s ribbon cutting and conference is only the beginning.
“It’s a really wonderful beginning. This is our first year, our stake in the ground, our housewarming so to speak,” said Turner, “and it’s really beautiful to see people already having conversations about what they want to do more of, and old friends seeing each other, and new ones being made.”
The first day of the conference today had about 20 attendees, but Turner said she anticipates twice that many for tomorrow’s main stage event.
