MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Business owners and community leaders gathered Saturday night to raise money for the Ishpeming Rotary.
The Rotary’s annual gala, held on NMU’s campus, included both live and silent auctions with items donated from local businesses.
Rotary members were able to purchase tickets and tables, proceeds from the event went directly back to supporting the Ishpeming economy. Rotary leaders say with the unpredictable winter weather fundraising events like this are vitally important.
“Without all these businesses and folks out here supporting the Ishpeming Rotary and helping us during our annual gala, we would not be able to fundraise the money needed to do the things we do in our community,” remarked Nate Heffron, the Rotary President.
