LANSING, Mich (WZMQ) – The Governor visited early voting locations in Lansing today. It was the 5th day of early in-person voting, with over 18,000 voters participating state-wide.
Governor Whitmer talked with poll workers about adjusting to the changes in this year’s process and encouraging voters to take advantage of the expanded access for this presidential primary.
“This is our chance to vote. We’ve expanded the ability to vote, we made it easier to register to vote.” Whitmer said. “Highlighting this early voting spot here in Lansing was an opportunity to remind people, now is the time.”
There are still five days of early voting left before election day on Tuesday, February 27th. To find more information about your registration status, and early or voting day polling location, visit michgan.gov/vote
