The City of Marquette will have the following roads closed to traffic from 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16 through 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17: Washington St. from 4th to Front Sts. and 3rd St. from Bluff to Spring Sts. Detours will be posted. No parking will be allowed on Bluff St. between 3rd and 4th Sts. during that time.

The UP Sled Dog Association, which organizes the UP200 races, announces the schedule of events for the Festival of the Sled Dog.
The festival will take the place of the UP200, Midnight Run, and Jack Pine 30 races which were canceled last week.
The organization posted to Facebook Friday that the Festival of the Sled Dog will take place Friday, Feb. 16 starting at 6 p.m. The festival will include live music, dog sledding demonstrations, sledding down 3rd St., face painting, and more. There will even be an opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

The Festival of the Sled Dog Powered by NMU is happening Friday, February 16th from 6pm-10pm in downtown Marquette!
Come join us and enjoy a night of live music, sledding on 3rd Street, and (of course) sled dogs! There will be dog sledding demonstrations and rides for kids available throughout the night.
But that’s not all! Enjoy the downtown social district, visit the UP200 merchandise tent and browse and bid at our silent auction.
