MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The city of Marquette is looking for some public feedback on the long-awaited Kids’ Cove playground. It’s the Dragonfly Art project, a sculpture being designed to carry the legacy of Joni Reynolds and to be the entrance of what will be the new kid’s cove.
The Marquette Public Art Commission is still looking for some opinions and suggestions on the three sculpture designs, each with a unique addition to the public art around the city.
“The city has a growing public art collection and so this dragonfly, just like the father marquette statue will be another addition to our public art collection but this one is focused on the kids,” commented Maruqette’s Art and Culture Manager Tiina Morin.
All feedback for the new sculpture is due on February 9th. Click here to send in your feedback to the Marquette Arts and Culture Center.
