MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Former television meteorologist Karl Bohnak announced plans Friday to run for state representative.
Bohnak said in a post to Facebook that he will be running for the 109th State House District seat, currently held by Rep. Jenn Hill. Bohnak tells WZMQ he will be running in the republican primary.
State records show two others have filed for candidacy on the republican primary ticket, Melody Wagner and Burt Mason.
Two democratic primary challengers, Margaret Brumm and Randy Girard, have also announced their intentions to run against Rep. Hill.
Primary election day is August 6, 2024.
