MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Marquette coffee shop was taken over this past weekend by U.P. artists, musicians, and photographers.
Art was on display and for sale throughout the Crib Coffee Shop’s building on Saturday and Sunday. The local community showed lots of support for the event packing the store for the opening reception on Saturday night.
According to organizers the event was very successful with lots of artwork being sold throughout the show.
“I have been running all over helping to coordinate, because folks are coming to me asking to buy things, some of the artists are here so then I am tracking them down. I didn’t expect this at all so it has been really awesome,” said Jacob Darner, the organizer of the show.
Organizers say there are plans to host another event in the coming months.
