MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Kognisjon Bryggeri in Marquette partnered with the Ishpeming Ski club to unveil a new beer today.
This red ale called “K-Point” is meant to promote the clubs 137th annual ski jump tournament coming up in January.
The drink is also meant to recognize long time club member Tom Sodergren, who is pictured on the can.
Ishpeming Ski Club Member and Kognisjon Bryggeri Co-Owner Jay Clancey said Tom helps make the tournaments possible.
“He’s been working on the hill for many years,” said Clancey, “following his career as a jumper he went into hill maintenance and has taken it over and made the hill perfect every year for the tournament, these last 25 years would not have happened without Tom Sodergren”
The Upcoming Ski Jump Tournament will be January 19th through the 21st.
K-Point Red Ale is available at Kognisjon Bryggeri and will be served on tap during the tournament.
