MUNISING, Mich. (WZMQ) – East Channel Brewing is opening up their new taproom!
Tomorrow, November 11th at noon the East Channel Brewing Company Production Facility will have it’s grand opening where it will temporarily be taking over as the main brewery, until their actual location finishes renovations.
The taproom was built as an addition to their already opened East Channel Brewery, the new facility gives the company the ability to expand their distribution, and keep up with demand from businesses during the busy times in the year.
“So our system down there was 3.5 barrels and we upgraded to 20 barrels here so it allows us to make more of our flagships,” said Joe Desjardins, Owner of east Channel Brewing Company. “And then be able to experiment with some stuff on our smaller system.”
The intention of the taproom is to serve as a hybrid production facility and event space. With area to use, and large upgrades to equipment, the building aids in faster turn arounds and quicker distribution, while leaving plenty of room for events to gather inside and out.
“We’re excited to get going and finally be ready to stop doing construction, and start operating.” says Desjardins.
Hour for this facility will be Monday thru Wednesday 4pm – 9pm, Thursday and Friday 4pm – 10pm, Saturday 12pm – 10pm, and Sunday 12pm – 8pm.
