IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Dickinson County Sheriff’s department is inviting the public to come in and claim the hundreds of items that were recovered from a recent theft of grave sites in the area. The items are believed to have been stolen from the Quinnesec Cemetery and Dickinson Memorial Gardens. The Sheriff’s office will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. CST until 2 p.m. CST.
The Sheriff’s office is continuing to process the large number of stolen items, and is trying to make it as easy as possible for those who have had items stolen from a loved one’s grave.
To assist the processing of the stolen property, the public is asked to bring a detailed list of the items missing, and a photo I.D. The list should include a full name, address, phone number, and location of where the items were stolen from.
For anyone that is not able to make it to the Sheriff’s department for the available times, are asked to contact the Sheriff’s department to make arrangements.

A suspect from the Iron Mountain area was taken into custody regarding this occurrence on multiple counts of larceny, and arraigned in the Dickinson County Courthouse yesterday.
