The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum is hosting another Second Thursday Creativity Series event on September 14 at its location on Baraga Ave. in downtown Marquette. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., kids can enjoy crafts, Culver’s frozen custard, and more fun at the museum. It’s a free event that happens the second Thursday of every month throughout the year.
On Sunday, September 17, the museum is hosting its first Baraga Block Party, a new take on the Harvest Festival held there in years prior. There will be bounce houses, face painting, a dunk tank, and more lined up on the 100 block of Baraga Ave. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wristbands to participate at $10 with proceeds going toward Nheena’s Neighborhood, a fundraiser to help pay off the cost of the loan for the museum.
