HARRIS, Mich. (WZMQ) – On October 6 and 7, a one-of-a-kind performer is bringing his show to the Island Resort & Casino in Harris.

Matt Fraser is known as “America’s top psychic medium.” Fraser says he can speak to people who have died, which is an ability he inherited from his mother and grandmother.

“Back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s nobody would talk about this,” Fraser said. “It was something that was kept very close to home. It was actually kept so secret that not even my own grandfather knew that my grandmother was a medium.”

Fraser says he first saw dead people when he was three or four years old.

“I remember being petrified because every time I went to bed, there were all of these souls that would try to come in and speak with me,” he said. “I did everything I could to hide this away because I was so afraid of what I was seeing, hearing, and feeling. Growing up, I always felt a really strong connection with other people. I could feel people on a different level.”

Fraser used that connection during his career as an EMT. That’s when he went to see another medium for the first time.

“I realized…I can use this gift to help people to heal,” said Fraser. “I started reading for close friends and family members. Next thing you know, word travels quickly about the one who could speak to the dead.”

Now, Fraser takes his gift across the country and around the world. He has done readings on various shows, including “The Doctors,” and “Botched.” He also starred in his own series, “Meet the Frasers,” on E! Entertainment.

Fraser calls his live shows a “family reunion with the other side.” He says he provides healing and answers questions for audience members by communicating with their loved ones.

“We want to know how our loved one passed away, right?” Fraser said. “We want to know what actually had happened. Maybe we didn’t get to say goodbye. Maybe we didn’t get closure. I am able to use my gift to help people have a few more minutes with their loved one, to tie up some loose ends, to fill that missing piece within their heart, and to really show them that their loved ones are not dead; they’re just different.”

Regular admission to see Matt Fraser at the Island Resort & Casino costs $40. VIP packages are available for $120. To purchase tickets for October 6, click here. Click here to purchase tickets for October 7.
