ISHPEMING Mich. (WZMQ) – The West End Health Foundation (WEHF), along with their partner, the Marquette County Cares Coalition (MC2) put on a successful golf outing this afternoon.
This outing is put on each year to help raise money to support the MC2, a coalition that helps to promote the healthy development of young individuals.
The WEHF supports this sponsoring 100% of the cost, so that all the money made goes straight to the community.
“This has been just a really successful event,” says Kori Bjorne, a Board Member of the West End Health Foundation. “It’s a good day out on the green, it’s always the Friday after Labor Day, so it’s a nice way to kinda say goodbye to summer, and for a great cause.”
The tournament had to cap at 35 teams of four this year due to the overwhelming interest from the community.
This is an annual event, registration for the event is $75 for an individual, and $300 for a foursome.
The outing offers food and drinks to all golfers, along with fun games and the ability to win prizes at many of the holes.
Sign up start for the next outing is unknown at this time, but more information on the outing can be found here
