This weekend, I’m packing up my fiancé and future in-laws for a weekend in Ontonagon.
Why? Because we are headed to the 17th Annual Porcupine Mountains Music Festival– and you should come too!
Taking place Friday, Aug. 25 and Saturday, Aug. 26, the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival is, in my opinion, the most magical time and place in the Upper Peninsula.
To set the scene, the Festival occurs at the Winter Sports Complex in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. Several acres of mowed ski hill makes it the perfect place for blankets, lawn chairs, and tents. Only a few minutes from Lake of the Clouds, you can enjoy live performances on three stages for two days.
You can expect to experience a wide variety of musical styles and performers. The festival will feature 12 acts on the main stage, 11 artists on the indoor stage, and 30-plus performers on the all-acoustic Busking Barn Stage.
For a complete list of performers or to purchase tickets, check out their website.
