MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A house in Marquette has extensive damage after a fire Wednesday evening.
It happened at 107 W. Prospect St. around 7:30 p.m. The Marquette City Fire Department found the porch area already in flames when crews arrived. It took about an hour for the 18 firefighters to extinguish the fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and the cause is not yet known.
Marquette City Fire was assisted on scene by Marquette PD, Marquette Township Fire, Chocolay Township Fire, and UPHS 140 unit.
