L’ANSE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Families flocked to the L’Anse Waterfront Sunday afternoon to enjoy a free community-wide picnic.
The new Copper Shores Community Health Foundation hosted the annual event in L’Anse for the first time. Last year, was the inaugural community-wide picnic was held in Chassell.
The foundation handed out free sack lunches and Copper Shores swag to attendees. There was also about 20 booths set up by local organizations to provide families with information about local resources, and also bounce houses, live music, local police and firefighters, and a dunk tank.
There was also a number of items raffled off to attendees, including a kayak and a cooler filled with things to have your own barbecue.
