MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – It was a battle on the gridiron Saturday at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
The U.P. high school all-star football game featured graduated seniors from over 40 different schools.
Players were drafted back in March onto either team black or team red. The game was a blowout for team black with a final score of 48-12.
The offensive MVP of the game was Luke Gorzinski, who graduated from North Central High School.
“I think there could have been 11 offensive MVPS on offense today, I was surrounded by so many great people it’s an all star game for a reason,” remarked Gorzinski.
The championship trophy will be passed between players from the winning teams’ former high schools for the next year.
