ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Over 300 bikers made their way to Ishpeming over the weekend to ride in the Iron Range Roll.
This year’s race was the largest turnout in the roll’s 10 year history. The course takes riders of all ages on a 16 mile trip that ends in the city of Marquette.
Proceeds from the race go to the YMCA to benefit youth programs.
“Any time you can help youth, and these groups like The 906 Adventure Team, and start the cycle, they are really helping youth find an activity they can do for the rest of their life,” remarked Micheal Springer, a race volunteer.
The overall winner of this year’s iron range roll was Taylor Birmann who finished with a time of 41:49.
