REPUBLIC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – Deputies with the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle personal injury crash that happened in Republic Township on Friday, May 26th. The crash occurred on M-95 near Kingfisher Road.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a truck travelling north on M-95 with two Marquette residents was rear ended by a van driven by a woman from Hubbell.
The truck lost control and left the highway to the east, and the van continued down the road until it flipped onto its’ roof on the southbound lane.
All occupants were transported to UPHS-Marquette for injuries. The Hubbell woman was lodged at the Marquette County Jail on alcohol related charges after being medically cleared.
No further information is available at this time, and the incident is still under investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Republic Township Fire, UPHS-EMS, Rescue 131, and Antillas Towing.
