ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Students at Birchview elementary school have a new piece of artwork to look at in their school.
Earlier today the school unveiled its new power mural. The mural was pitched, designed, and painted by local high school students in the artists in excellence program.
According to Birchview elementary school principal Matthew Byce, the mural is in a perfect place to inspire students.
“We actually hold every Friday, a power assembly, and that means we get to celebrate all the wonderful things are students are doing,” remarked Byce.
The mural was completed in one weekend and took a total of 18 working hours to paint.
