MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Devos Art Museum on NMU’s campus invited community members of all ages to learn more about art and how to appreciate it.
Curators and interns at the museum set up guided tours for visitors to learn about the art on display.
There was also a station set up for attendees to create their own artwork inspired by the Upper Peninsula’s climate.
“The white walls can be scary, and I know art can be scary for people who didn’t experience it growing up, its just a way to get everyone out and in the museum in a way they can feel comfortable and welcome,” said Sydney Sarrasin, one of the museums curators.
