GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPDATE: This event has been postponed to April 6 due to inclement weather.
A healthcare organization is hosting an event this weekend for those who have lost a loved one.
UP Health System Hospice will hold an Easter Memorial Service on Saturday, April 1, at Transition Assisted Living in Gladstone. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The event begins at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Lewis Hague will lead the service at 4:00 p.m.
UP Health System account executive Rachel Camp says holidays can be especially difficult for those who are grieving. She hopes the service will make this Palm Sunday weekend a little easier for them.
“We bring together all the families who’ve lost a loved one on our services–or in our community as a whole–and just provide a way to build that sense of community so you don’t feel alone,” said Camp. “It can help knowing your experience is not yours to bear. We are here to help and support.”
Easter lilies will be available at the event, and refreshments will be served. UP Health System will be accepting donations for the Hospice Promise Foundation.
