ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Escanaba brewery celebrated the beginning of a new season on Monday with an all-day event.
Upper Hand Brewery hosted its inaugural Oberon Day event. According to retail operations manager Marley Reeves, the brewery’s event was modeled after a longstanding tradition of the same name in Kalamazoo.
Eight varieties of Oberon were available, including peach, blood orange, and fruit punch. Wiles Food Services prepared a dish to pair with each flavor.
Guests enjoyed live music, games, and crafts throughout the day at the outdoor “Camp Oberon.” The inside of the brewery was open as well.
In addition to being a celebration of a fan-favorite brew, Reeves says the event served as a kickoff to spring for Upper Hand Brewery.
“This is just in hopes of an early spring,” said Reeves. “The sun is out, so let’s drink, let’s party!”
Oberon Day at Upper Hand Brewery ends at 9:00 p.m. Visit Upper Hand Brewery on Facebook to be notified of future events.
