MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Tuesday, March 14th, Bay Cliff Health Camp visited Northern Michigan University’s campus, recruiting for its Summer Therapy Camp.
This summer therapy camp promotes and teaches independence to kids ages 3-17 with disabilities. The summer camp runs from June 11th to August 6th. “It’s amazing what happens for the kids but it’s also amazing what happens for the staff,” said Executive Director Clare Lutgen.
Director continues to say the number of staff they secure can really determine how many kids they can serve. The program runs from June 11th through August 6th.
“We have many staff members who come and join us for the summer that completely change their career trajectory after that experience, and they’re like this is what I wanna do with my life,” continued Lutgen.
Open positions include camp counselor, lifeguard, nature instructor, performing arts instructor, recreation instructor, maintenance, housekeeping, dining room aide, kitchen staff, secretary, and unit leader.
