MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Thursday, February 23rd, the winter storm continued to blow throughout the Marquette area. Low visibility on the roads with the gusts of wind shifting the snow around town.
Sheriff Zyburt commented on the storm saying, “The winter has reared its ugly head again. Stay off the roads unless you absolutely need to go”
The community continued to brave the cold with some even helping get cars unstuck. “Roads this morning were pretty dicey got a call from a daughter who was stuck in the bank but yoopers helped her get out so just gotta take your time and be prepared, that’s the trick of winter no bad weather just bad clothing”, said local Wally Pearson.
