BARAGA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Baraga County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications until April 1st. There are some minimum requirements that must be met and 3 scholarships available. One will go to a senior from Baraga High School, one from L’Anse High School, and one to any county resident attending senior-year programs.
Nathan Grave, Baraga Chamber of Commerce Treasurer said, “The youth are the people that will take over for us as we get older, right? So, the more we can help the youth and give them a good impression of where they grew up, the hope that they continue to come back to the local area, and not let it become a dying community.
Scholarships will be awarded on April 21st at the Keweenaw Bay and Beyond Mix and Mingle.
Interested candidates should contact their schools or the Chamber at baragacountychamber@gmail.com for applications.
