MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The local community is invited to create its own subtle signs of spring.
The Marquette Arts and Culture Center is calling artists of all ages to submit a “read-to-hang” art piece inspired by how everyone views spring. 2D mediums, even poetry broadsides, and glass pieces are welcome for submission. As long as they can be entered digitally, any medium of art is welcome.
Artwork will be accepted up until Friday, March 17th, and displayed through city hall from March 22nd through the 30th.
Only one submission is allowed per person. People can drop off their entries at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center during open hours (Monday-Friday 10am-5pm).
“That’s a non-juried you can submit work that’s non-juried show so anyone can submit work at any age it’s open. Signs of spring what does that to you, maybe it’s melting snow maybe it’s something totally different.”
