WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Jack Bergman (R- MI), who represents Michigan’s first congressional district, will chair a key subcommittee.
Bergman will serve as the chairman of the House Armed Services Intelligence and Special Operations subcommittee. This subcommittee oversees defense policy and programs related to military and national intelligence, countering weapons of mass destruction and other sensitive military operations.
Bergman is a retired marine corps officer and brings in a lot of military experience to this subcommittee. In a brief press release, Bergman said he’s honored to be asked to serve as the subcommittee’s chairman.
