MARQUETTE, Mich (WZMQ) – One of the biggest needs around this time of year is warm clothing. Along with Provisions of Marquette, Room at the Inn Warming center will be holding a coat drive from December 1st until the 31st.
You can give to the Warming center through an in-kind or cash donation. The room at the inn warming center will be holding a coat drive from December 1st until the 31st.
The interim Director Stephen Krygier says the donations that are given to the shelter are a large portion of how they are still operational, “when we have a person arrive at our front door they may or may not have many things with them so it’s just assisting and ensuring they stay warm throughout the winter instead of freezing”, said Krygier.
Along with the coffee shop “Provisions”, The Room and the Inn are trying to collect as much warm clothing as they can, not only for the guests but also for other community shelters. For more information on where you can donate, click here.
