Slippery weather takes on deliveries

MARQUETTE, Mich (WZMQ) – Around the U.P., through this cold whether that is flooding in, UPS drivers are asking for people to salt and shovel to prevent slips.

According to the CDC, around 1 million people slip and fall annually, due to ice or snow. The level of snow in the U.P. can be a beautiful site to see, however also can be a dangerous time for car crashes or fatal slips in the ice. UPS drivers say to keep the shovel handy as we head into the long-winter.

“Shovel that’s the best thing, cause it’s slippery so that’s are biggest thing is a lot of people get hurt from just slip and falls so if you can salt and slip or shovel that’s the biggest thing”, said Nathan Nelson with UPS.
