Feeding America was in Harvey at the Silver Creek Church Thursday morning.
This event is part of the initiative to help Feeding America holding several events across the upper Peninsula.
A total of 500 boxes would be distributed and the first vehicles were loaded at 10 am.
Even those who did not have vehicles were found waiting to take home however they could, including a wagon.
Pastor Kevin Taylor, “We should have food for 500 families today, um, from the looks of traffic we may not be able to provide food for everyone today.”
The boxes of food included fresh fruits and vegetables a gallon of milk.
