Once again, the Just Believe Bike, Walk and Run will take place this October 9th. Delight Hill, Co-Founder of the Just Believe Fundraiser began this journey with her son-in-law after her daughter’s passing in 2013. In an effort to give back to the community and spread awareness of Melanoma.
“Because of the awareness activities that we were doing, that came to us that we could possibly start with sunscreen dispensers in our area.”, said Hill. Just Believe has also been working on placing sunscreen dispensers around the Upper Peninsula. For more information on where to participate and donate to these events, click here.
“The sun is still out even on a cloudy day or if there’s snow and there’s glare and ice with the glare and that. The sun’s rays get through and you still need to protect your skin the same way you do in the summer.”
