One lane on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge between Houghton and Hancock will be closed Thursday, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced.
The closure will affect the outside northbound lane on the bridge. It will start at 9 a.m. and is expected to last several hours.
MDOT will be installing equipment to help count traffic on the bridge.
