Huskies outshot 20-7
CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Michigan Tech soccer team fell 3-0 at Cedarville on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets scored a goal in the first half and a pair in the second 45.
Kacy Rosenthal opened scoring with a free kick from 20 yards out 14:40 into the contest.
Seren Johnson added to the lead early in the second half at 51:38. Mya Simpson set up the play with an assist in the box.
Seren Johnson added her second of the game at 76:47 with an assist going to Katie Ulmer.
CU led in shots 20-7, including a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal. Karli Koskinen had two shots on goal for the Huskies while Sophie Rater added one. Bri Barrows made nine saves.
Tech hosts Saginaw Valley State on Friday at 6 p.m. in the GLIAC opener. Grand Valley State is the opponent on Sunday at Kearly Stadium.
