ELY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Thursday, multiple people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Ely Township.
At 6:30 p.m., Marquette County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the scene of a crash at US-41 and County Road 496 SE. Due to poor visibility, a vehicle being driven by an 82-year-old Ishpeming man failed to yield to another vehicle, which was on the highway. The three occupants of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Negaunee Police Department, the Michigan State Police, the Ishpeming Township Fire Department, UPHS EMS, and Anttila’s Towing.
