HOUGHTON, Mich. (WZMQ) – Aspirus has announced a transformative $5 million renovation and expansion at its Houghton Clinic.
Work on the site is scheduled to begin in late April and estimated to be completed in January of 2026. According to Aspirus, the expansion is aimed at improving efficiency, access, and patient experience.
“We are committed to continuously improving health care for the Keweenaw region,” said Laura Brogan, Director of Regional Clinics. “While the clinic has served this community for many years, it became clear that to meet the growing needs of our patients, we needed to expand services and capacity.”
Key features of the project include 13 new exam rooms, two new procedure rooms, a drive-through pharmacy, a redesigned central registration area and waiting room, and updates to existing spaces.
“This investment demonstrates our dedication to maximizing the impact of our resources,” Brogan said. “We’re excited to enhance and broaden local care while contributing to the growth of the local economy.”
Aspirus says in challenging times, the clinic is dedicated to innovating and transforming its care models and processes to meet the community’s evolving needs.
