NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Great Lakes Recovery Centers are calling on designers across the Upper Peninsula. Artists of all skill levels are welcome to get creative for their new logo contest. The logo will be used for their annual Run for Recovery in September, and will be branded on shirts and merchandise for the event.
“It is our 18th annual Run for Recovery, and we really wanted to focus on community involvement with the whole process of that,” said Kyle Wiersma, the marketing coordinator at GLRC. “We decided to introduce a logo contest, its U.P. wide, and we’re just really seeing what people can come up with.” This is their first time doing the contest, hoping for a successful turnout.
The winner of the contest will receive a $100 Visa card and two tickets for the GLRC benefit concert, also happening in September.
Through May 1, they’ll be accepting designs on their website, with more information on their Facebook.
