City of Negaunee to experience emergency power outage Tuesday night

The fate of part of old Town Negaunee up to the voters.

NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Negaunee residents will experience a power outage late Tuesday night.

At midnight on February 25, UPPCO will conduct an emergency power outage for the entire city of Negaunee. The power outage is necessary to replace a critical piece of equipment in the old substation that is failing. According to the City, the outage will last approximately four hours.

Anyone with questions about the outage can contact the Department of Public Works at (906) 475-9991.
