MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – This Saturday is the 906 Adventure Team’s 11th annual “Polar Roll” fat tire bike and snowshoe race. The race will include both a 15 mile and a 30 mile event using the RAMBA and Ishpeming Ski Club trails in the Ishpeming and Negaunee area.
This year so far the 906 Adventure team has 500 participants coming to experience Marquette County’s trails. “Marquette is the best place to go for snow and we have some of the best trail grooping organizations in the country,” said 906 Adventure Team Director Todd Poquette. “It gets people outside in a time of year that people typically stay inside. It’s a real positive outlet from a physical and mental health standpoint, it’s just a good time.”
