MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Ore Dock Brewing Company announced last week that its annual Angry Bear Festival is cancelled for 2025. In a press release the Ore Dock owners said with all the focus going into their new spaces they will be unable to plan the festival this year.
The new spaces include a beer garden, new event space, and a cocktail lounge that will be opening next week for the UP 200. Kris Wierenga the Ore Dock’s brand manager said they’re excited to unveil the new spaces to the community, “We’re really excited to show the community everything that we’ve been working on, some of the cocktails that we’ve been able to put together,” said Wierenga. “Yeah, we’re really excited about this and what it provides for Marquette and particularly for this area of the downtown, to see some new life here on Front Street.”
Wierenga said they hope to continue to grow the Angry Bear Festival for when it returns in 2026.
