NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Fox Negaunee car dealership is holding the “Stuff the Blue Goose” food drive until February 1.
Community members are invited to bring non-perishable food items like canned and dry gods to fill a state trooper car in the dealership showroom to donate to St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Negaunee.
Toiletry items like shampoo, hand soap, and toilet paper is also accepted.
Jerry Taylor from Fox Negaunee said the drive is a great way to help uplift the community. “At the end of the day, you may know someone and you may not know someone who is going to benefit from this and if you can help give a little bit, just grab an extra bag of groceries when you’re at the grocery store between now and February first it can go a long way in helping somebody out,” said Taylor.
Anyone who brings a bag of groceries in will get 10% off their service fee during the food drive.
